Guitang River originates from Shiyan Lake and finally flows into Liuyang River, with a total length of 28.3 kilometers. It is the longest inland river in Changsha, running through the whole territory of Yuhua District from north to south, so it is also called the mother river of Yuhua District. In the Han Dynasty, a huge white turtle appeared in a small pond near here! This was considered auspicious in ancient times. At that time, officials in Changsha immediately reported to the Central Committee. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty heard about it, he thought that such auspicious things appeared in such a remote place, so he named it "Guitang". Now there are several white turtles over the Guitang River Waterfall, which is an allusion. During the Three Kingdoms period, Guan Yu was hunted by Huang Gai in Changsha. When he passed the Guitang River, there was a place where the water was wide and his horse jumped over it. Therefore, it was named vault river. This is very similar to the story of Sun Quan. During the Five Dynasties, the northern refugees fled to Changsha, but there was nowhere to live. At that time, the towns of Changsha vassal States, which were enfeoffed, ordered the river to be widened and refugees to be placed on both sides. In the Qing Dynasty, people "registered their accounts". There was a scholar along the Guitang River, who felt that people here always called themselves Guitang, which was beneath their dignity. The above-mentioned superiors changed the name of Guitang, because they wanted to preserve historical allusions, so the pronunciation could not be changed, and because both sides were fertile fields at that time, they were called Guitang. At 1974, the river widened again, but the Guitang River was once dark and smelly due to the destruction of the environment by residential industries. Later, the state paid more and more attention to environmental protection, and the governance of Guitang River was also put on the agenda, and the following five methods were adopted:
One is to protect the water source and draw water from Liuyang River. On the one hand, it protects the upstream water source and washes the downstream garbage from the upstream water source. On the other hand, Liuyang River is helpful.
Second, grow aquatic plants. Water plants are called scavengers of Guitang River, which can provide shelter and food for aquatic organisms such as fish and shrimp. But planting aquatic plants also has disadvantages-its body will rot in the water after death, which will cause the river to turn black and stink, which is harmful to the water body.
? Third, place stones. Stones can stir water, provide oxygen for aquatic organisms and intercept pollution, killing two birds with one stone.
? Fourth, establish an ecological island. Many birds can live in bushes, and small islands in the water provide them with habitats.
Fifth, establish a flower step. This is reflected in the * * * appreciation library along the Guitang River. After plant filtration, microbial degradation and ecological purification of artificial lakes, the water entering Guitang River is very clean.
Of course, there are still many questions worth thinking about: Why are there many willows planted by the river? How did Shiyan Lake get its name? ..... The mystery of nature is far from being explored!
Let's pack our bags and explore the endless mysteries of nature!
