Babaoshan Huguo Temple, a key cultural relic protection unit in Beijing, is a place for religious and cultural activities integrating Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and folk beliefs.
Babaoshan Huguo Temple was built in Liao Dynasty (early years of the calendar year), formerly known as Ivory Temple. Since the naming of the temple in the fifth year of Li (770), the name of the temple has been repeatedly abolished. Until the eighth year of the Ming Dynasty (1443), Yang Yongfeng, the great eunuch, ordered the reconstruction of Xiangyan Temple, which was later renamed Baozhong Huguo Temple. Ivory Temple has experienced Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, and has a history of more than 1000 years.
