Today, Niangziguan is unique in the world-eight ancient scenes with calm charm.
According to textual research, these eight scenes are legendary, spectacular and fascinating. With the passage of time, there are not many ancient eight sights that can be seen now, and they are replaced by modern human landscapes, namely, the night light in the Red Chamber, the rain and dew in Guanshan, the autumn frost in Bai Causeway, the spring scenery in Yangquan, the quiet waves in Wudu, the rime in the brim of a hat, the clear spring soaking in the moon and the ancient temple in Sara.

Pingding is the traffic artery of Shanxi and Hebei and the east gate of Shanxi Province. Located in the shaft belt of Shanxi Province-Taijiu-Shitai shaft belt, it is a convenient passage between Taiyuan City and the hinterland of central Shanxi Province. Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Railway passes through the territory, and Taijiu Expressway, Pingyang Expressway, Zuo Yang Expressway, National Highway 307 and 207 national highway meet in the territory.

Throughout the ages, the traffic fortress has created a rich cultural landscape here, coupled with ingenious natural scenery and myths and legends that have been passed down to this day, which have made Pingding a mysterious and magnificent color. Wandering between the temples and mountains here is like being in a feast that crosses the past and the present.

"The Red Chamber is bright at night" is a beautiful scenery within the walls of Guzhou. According to "Ping Ding Zhou Zhi", "Night photos of the Red Chamber". According to legend, in today's Quge, the old building is as high as a floating picture, and there are lights in the evening and it is destroyed by fire. " After the "night shot of the red chamber" was burned, only Tianqu Pavilion was left outside Yumen. In recent years, every Lantern Festival, people will build an ancient archway in the former site of Yumenguan. Although not as elegant as in the past, it can also arouse many people's admiration for the beautiful scenery.

"It's raining in Guanshan", Guanshan is towering into the sky, with beautiful scenery, overlooking like wearing, leaning like a screen, pines and cypresses, and gloomy. This mountain is one of the highest peaks in Suzhou. "The steep mountain is covered with clouds and mountains, which are endless. After a day of rain, the sky will clear up, and the green mountains will be beautiful. If it is far away, it will be vivid and beautiful. " Nowadays, a straight cement avenue can take tourists directly to the embrace of Guanshan, enjoy the deep scenery and appreciate the cultural relics and historic sites that can be seen everywhere.

"Autumn Frost in Bai Causeway", "Spring Scenery in Yangquan" and "Crossing Five Rivers and Smooth Waves" ... The vicissitudes of life have changed dramatically, and the spring scenery is like smoke. The quiet and elegant spring scenery of Yangquan in the past has become history, and it has been replaced by a vibrant coal city.

Many places in Shanxi carry all kinds of myths and legends, which endows this place with a long history with more mysterious colors. The mountain is not high, and the fairy is famous. Dongfushan, deep in Taihang Mountain, is such a mountain.

Dongfushan has a gentle terrain and sparse trees, with an altitude of only 1270 meters. The main peak is located in Guojianao Village, Zhangzhuang Town, Pingding County. People who don't know just think that this is an ordinary hill. In fact, it carries an important legend of the Chinese nation-"Goddess of mending the sky".

Now Dongfushan has been developed into a forest park. When you walk into the park, the first thing you see is a classical white marble arch. The structure of this stone archway is four columns and three roofs, and the top is a cornice carved by stone carving. In the middle of the archway, four characters "Dongfushan" are written in regular script on the forehead, and a pair of cursive couplets "Yun Teng Mountain is like a stone but not heavy" are engraved on the two pillars in the middle. In just twelve words, it tells the ever-changing wonders of East Fushan.

There are temples in the mountains, red bricks and blue tiles, carved beams and painted buildings and blue bricks. Although the small temple is not as grand as the big temple, it has the fresh charm of antique jasper.

In addition, there are reddish-brown stones in the mountains, which are unique to Dongfushan. There are many holes and pits in the stone, which are honeycomb-shaped, brown or red and do not sink into the water. They are called "pumice" by the locals, hence the name Dongfushan. According to geological experts' research, the "pumice" in Dongfushan is actually condensed from spongy magma continuously ejected by volcanic eruption more than 654.38+million years ago, and folk rumors are the remains of the "Goddess of Mending Heaven".

When you come to Dongfushan, you can see the lush mountains and temples hidden in the mountains. This mystery adds a magical power to Dongfushan.

After seeing Dongfushan, Niangziguan, located 45 kilometers northeast of Pingding County, is also a must-visit. Niangziguan is a famous pass of the Great Wall, known as "the ninth pass of the Great Wall in Wan Li", which has been a battleground for military strategists in past dynasties. The existing Guancheng was built in the 20th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 154 1).

The name of Niangziguan was first seen in Yuan Haowen's "Hanging Springs from Heaven", and there is a sentence that "Niangziguan's head is even more strange". Niangziguan stands on the mountain and the water, commanding, and has two related doors. The east gate is an ordinary brick door with the inscription "Niangziguan in Zhili". The dangerous building in the south gate is majestic, strong and made of bluestone. The "Sujiang Tower" on the gate stands tall, which is said to be the place where Princess Pingyang gathered to defend the enemy. The inscription on the door shows the importance of Niangziguan.

The Great Wall in the southeast of Guancheng winds along Mianshan, towering and straight. Surrounded by Taohe River in the west of the city, it doesn't melt all the year round. The steep mountains, valleys and the Great Wall form a natural barrier between Shanxi and Hebei. There are more than ten scenic spots such as Chengtianzhai, Laojun Cave, beacon tower, beacon tower, washbasin and summer building, which are said to have been built by Princess Pingyang when she was stationed in the army.

Niangziguan is also famous for its beautiful scenery. "Niangziguan Waterfall" hangs hundreds of feet high and falls down the cliff, forming a beautiful "water curtain waterfall", such as spraying pearls and scattering jade to the end. There are scenic spots such as water curtain cave and Baotu Spring beside the waterfall, and the scenery is extremely beautiful. Every family here has running water and springs everywhere, forming a natural picture of a "small bridge with flowing water". Throughout the ages, I don't know how many literati have poured in, leaving many well-known poems. A couplet says, "Xiongguan comes first, who wants to share the same name with Lu?" "The building is surrounded by the village, and the castle is under the river outside the city."

Niangziguan Village under Niangziguan is built on the mountain and lives along the river. Most houses are built of stone, and each house has a history of 100 years. A stream like a water net runs through the house along the wall, and women in the village wash clothes and vegetables at their doorsteps. Some villagers even amuse themselves by building a small bridge in their own yard, letting the stream flow along the yard, listening to the running water at night and enjoying the flowers and the moon. Water brings aura to the village, forming a beautiful world view, that is, "people walk on water, and water flows under the house". In addition, there are 24 giant ancient stone mills on the mountain wall in the village, and the rumble of the big stone mills can be heard from a distance.

Niangziguan Village is crossed by an ancient road of Ming and Qing Dynasties named "Cliff Avenue" and "Xinglong Street". The age of road construction can no longer be verified, but its long history can still be read from the ancient residential buildings and potholes on the Qingshiban Road. Clever Niangziguan villagers rely on 24 stone mills to process grain and open stores along the way to welcome guests.

Although the houses in Niangziguan Village are all made of stone, the financial resources of each family can still be divided from the width, size and height. Most of the people who live here are businessmen and descendants of the soldiers who guard the customs, so they left several most popular surnames, such as Hu, Yang and Ma. Among them, Hu's ancestral home is far from being comparable to the neighboring houses. It is not only a spacious gatehouse, but also carved various auspicious patterns on the stones of the retaining wall. It's just that a pair of stone lions in front of the door are very imposing. This house is not as wide as other residential courtyards in Shanxi, but it has all kinds of facades, rooms and rooms, especially the exquisite brick carvings. What is written on the lintel of the merchant's house is naturally auspicious words such as "making money into treasure" and "making money widely". Although different, it also shows a kind of simplicity.
