In order to improve the city's taste, build a famous cultural city and promote the three-year transformation of the town, Baoding will turn the new Baoding Museum into a unique, iconic and classic urban building that reflects Baoding's cultural heritage. The new museum (including the historical and cultural hall of fame) is a key cultural facility construction project in the city, located in the East Lake planning area of Xuefu New Town, east of the city, with an area of 73,000 square meters and a total construction area of 53,000 square meters (including Guan Hanqing Grand Theatre). The whole building has three floors above ground and one underground, with a total investment of 580 million yuan. The architectural design scheme was entrusted to China Architectural Design and Research Institute, which was compiled by Cui Kai, vice president, chief architect and national design master. Located in the East Lake of Qiyi East Road, the project integrates Guan Hanqing Grand Theatre and Museum, and has many functional areas such as historical and cultural hall of fame and film screening, which can meet the needs of various large-scale cultural performances and conferences. The project passed the evaluation on April 30th, 20 10 and is currently under construction.
