What is the history of the invention of stainless steel? How about today's application?
The real inventor of stainless steel is a scientist from England. His name is Henry Bourelly.

At that time, Henry Bourelly was entrusted by the British government to study the shortcomings of improving rifles, and why the bore of the rifle was easily worn and the shooting was not allowed. For this task, his thinking is very clear. He added another metal to ordinary steel to increase its hardness and became alloy steel. He tried to add chromium to steel for smelting, but the result was not as he imagined, and it was still not wear-resistant. He was very disappointed. He can only throw these away. Many failed alloys were left there with scrap iron. After a long period of sun and rain, all of them rusted, leaving only brown rust on the ground. Everyone sent someone to take out the garbage, fearing that steel with higher hardness would not be made. It's really troublesome.

Suddenly, Bourelly found a few pieces of glowing metal in the garbage, which was particularly dazzling in the rusty iron sheet. He carefully looked at the discarded alloy fragments, and everyone quickly came to see them. In other words, it is the same as ordinary steel. Why is it different? It's still strange to leave. He said why all other metals are rusted, but these pieces are not rusted. There must be something special about their ingredients. He had to analyze this metal carefully and found that carbon was 0.24%, chromium was 12.8%, and the rest was iron. Is this the famous stainless steel? In this way, Bourelly invented stainless steel. Since then, Bourelly has been called the father of stainless steel.

19 15, Bourelly obtained an American patent and produced the world's first stainless steel knife. Then he obtained a British patent and jointly established a factory to produce stainless steel knives.

Stainless steel is widely used today. Most steel products are used in the construction industry in cash. Stainless steel can be used in high-rise and low-rise buildings. Stainless steel is used in truck transmissions, trains, rails, ships, aircraft landing gears, jet engine parts, etc. ? Stainless steel has been used in the energy field, such as pipelines, electric towers, wind turbines, transmission towers, electromagnets, electromagnetic shielding and so on. Then stainless steel also has many uses in household appliances, such as agricultural vehicles and machinery, piggy banks, gadgets and so on.
