The Historical Evolution of Wanzhuang Town
During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, there lived a Shen in the village, then called Shen Jiachang. Later, he moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, and his surname was Wan. Renamed Shen Wanzhuang. After the opening of Jingshan Railway in the 23rd year of Guangxu reign (AD 1897), the village gradually moved into some commercial shops and residents and developed into a market town, so it was named Wanzhuang Town.

Wanzhuang commune was established in 1958, and the town was established in 1987. 1997, located in the northwest of Anci District, adjacent to Zhu Zhuang Township, Caiyu Township and Anding Township in Daxing County, Beijing, with an area of 89. 1 km2 and a population of 6 1 10,000. It has jurisdiction over Dongjie, Nanjie, Chaisunwa, Hongsi, Xihuaying, Iraqi Command, Sanxiaoying, Mangniuzhuang, Inspector Wang, Wujiaying, Gaojiaying, Lisunwa, Xiaojiawu, Dugezhuang, Heshunying, Yinjiaying, Liulin Mafang, Housunwa, Moqiying, Pancun and Caochang. In 2000, Anci District was placed under the jurisdiction of Guangyang District.
