Version 2

The news of Mei Fei's death spread to Putian. The villagers deeply missed her and built Pukou Palace to commemorate her as a permanent memory. According to legend, Mei Fei's father (or brother) asked the court to bury his wife's bones in his hometown, and the Ming emperor allowed it. The burial place is in Jiang Jiazu's grave. "Dozens of plums were planted under the tomb, and the heron stayed there."

After the Anshi Rebellion, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty had no time to take Mei Fei into limbo and fled. After the fall of Chang 'an, the city was in chaos. When Mei Fei was helpless and decided to commit suicide, he was rescued by a woman in white, took her to Yingguan, and set the truth in Baiyun Mountain with a white donkey.

On June 13th, the first year of Zhide, at dawn, Xuanzong left Yanqi Gate with only Yang Guifei's sister, the prince, the princess's master, the emperor's grandson, Yang, Wei, Wei and Chen, and his trusted eunuchs and imperial secretaries.

Princess, Lord, Sun Ken, including Mei Fei, who was trapped in the cold palace, abandoned them. On this day, all the officials didn't know that the emperor had escaped. When Emperor Xuanzong returned to Beijing, he sent someone to find Mei Fei and wrote a letter. As long as someone finds her, she will be promoted to two levels and offered a reward of one million. One of the eunuchs presented a portrait of Mei Fei, and the emperor said, "It's very similar, but I hate it." Then he wrote a poem in memory of Mei Fei.

One day, Mei Fei had a dream for the emperor. Mei Fei said, "When your majesty fled, I died at the hands of the mutinous soldiers. Some people who had pity on me buried me under the plum tree in the east of the pool." Finally, under the Bian Mei tree in the hot spring pool, people found Mei Fei's body. He was wrapped in a brocade mattress and covered with almost three feet of soil. See if there are knife marks under Mei Fei's ribs. Tang Xuanzong burst into tears and was reburied with gifts. He also ordered people to plant all kinds of plum trees around her grave and personally wrote a eulogy for her.
