How did the Goths establish their own country?

Germans are an ancient people in northern Europe. At the beginning of AD, Germanic tribes began to be divided into classes, and nobles appeared, which were divided into three branches: east, west and north. East and West migrated, and some overthrew the Western Roman Empire around the 5th century. Since then, the Goths and Franks have established many kingdoms in Roman territory, forming a feudal society.

Goths are the largest, fastest-growing and most influential Germanic people. Germans are tall, fair-skinned, with long heads, brown hair and blue eyes. Like Indians, Persians, Greeks and Romans, they all belong to Aryans. As early as 1000 BC, Germans had already lived on the west coast of the Baltic Sea, including southern Sweden, Danish jutland, the Baltic coast of Germany and coastal islands.

Until the1~ 2nd century, most Germans settled in the vast areas east of the Rhine River, west of the Vistula River, south of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, and north of the Danube River, and became the northern neighbors of the Roman Empire. The population is estimated at 6 million. In Tacitus' time, the Germans had twenty or thirty branches, and then the small branches gradually decreased. After merger and combination, five branches were formed: Anglo-Saxon, Frankish, Vandal, Burgundy and Gothic.

In 374 AD, the northern Xiongnu, defeated by the Han Dynasty in China about 300 years ago, arrived in eastern Europe, crossed the Don River and appeared in front of ostrogoths. Ostrogoths was terrified. At that time, Herman, the leader of ostrogoths, heard that a new savage tribe had come to attack, so he quickly led the troops to resist. But the Gothic Infantry was no match for tarquin at all, and it was on the verge of collapse. Herman committed suicide after the defeat. In 375 AD, ostrogoths surrendered to the Huns. Since then, the Huns have occupied the grasslands in southern Russia.

The news of ostrogoths's conquest reached the Visigoths, who had a premonition of catastrophe, so they quickly built a fortress on the left bank of Transnistria in an attempt to stop the Huns from crossing the river. When Balanbo, the Xiongnu leader, learned of this incident, he did not attack directly, but crossed the river in the upper reaches of the Visigoth formation and outflanked him. The visigoths were caught off guard and were defeated and fled.

Visigoths, led by a leader named Frittigreen, gathered on the Danube River and asked the Roman emperor to allow them to live in the Roman Empire. Vallance, the emperor of western Rome, was worried about the decrease of the imperial population and the shortage of soldiers, so he readily agreed and promised to give the Visigoths land and food after crossing the river. In exchange, visigoths must hand over their weapons and provide their wives and children as hostages. The visigoths were afraid of the Huns' pursuit and had to reluctantly accept these conditions.

After the visigoths landed, they came to the provinces of Misia and Thrace in the Roman Empire. However, the treachery of the Roman ruling class aroused the great hatred of the Goths, and the Visigoths couldn't bear it any longer and finally rose up.

In 4 12 A.D., Yardov led all Visigoth troops into the south of Gaul, which was strongly supported by the local "Baghdad" movement, and soon occupied the Narbon region and important cities such as Toulouse and Bordeaux. In 4 19, the newly elected Visigoth leader Theodoric established the Visigoth Kingdom, with Toulouse as its capital. Since then, the visigoths have ended their migration career for half a century and settled in South Gaul and Spain.

In 476 AD, Odoch, a German-born general of the Roman army, overthrew the regime of the Western Roman Empire and established the kingdom of Odoch in Italy. The eastern Roman emperor Gino was restless. He instigated Theodoric, the military leader of the Eastern Gothic, to attack Oduchi kingdom to get rid of his own danger.

In 489 AD, Theodoric set out from Banonia and invaded Italy. He joined forces with the Roman nobles, used the old Roman officials, and used the hostility of the Romans to the Odoacá n regime to gain support. It took him only three years to conquer Italy and kill Odoche. Theodoric established the kingdom of East Goth with Lavaine as its capital. Since then, ostrogoths has settled in Italy.
