Blood and Sand tells the bitter history of Spartacus' transformation from slave to hero. Betrayed by the Romans, exiled as a slave and turned into a gladiator-Spartacus was forced to leave his hometown and beloved woman and was placed in the most cruel and popular entertainment arena in Rome.

But the bloody battle is only part of the tragedy, and Spartacus has to stand the test of wealth, corruption and temptation. In order to survive, he must be a man among men and a soldier. In order to survive, he must become a more important role than a gladiator-a legend.
