According to the China Seismological Network, an earthquake of magnitude 3.0 occurred at 201May 27th, 4 15: 49 Beijing time in Qianguoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province (44.7 degrees north latitude, 24.1degree east longitude) with a focal depth of 9 kilometers.
We don't know much about how many earthquakes have occurred in Changchun history. At present, our understanding of the historical earthquake in Changchun is:
1. The largest earthquake recorded in the earthquake observation record is tuqiao town, Yushu City, and the M = 5.8 earthquake occurred on April 1960.
The latest earthquake with M ≥ 5 recorded in the seismic observation records was 10/9665438+5.2 on October 2nd. In addition, on June 1937+0 1 day, an earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred in Yao Gang Town, Yongji County (Jilin City) adjacent to Jiutai City.
2. According to historical records, the biggest earthquake near Changchun was the 6.8 earthquake in Nong 'an-Songyuan area in February 2009, which was 1 165438.
3. No detailed earthquake archaeology work has been carried out in Changchun area, but in recent years, new progress has been made in earthquake archaeology around Changchun. In 20 1 1 year, the Institute of Geology of China Seismological Bureau conducted an archaeological study of the Yitong-Yilan fault zone in Lan Shu County, Jilin Province and Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province, and found strong evidence of earthquakes of magnitude 7 or above in the past three thousand years. It is worth noting that this fault zone spans the areas of Sheling and Shuangyang, south of Changchun. Was there a strong earthquake near Changchun in history? Further research is needed.
