Sid is called security identity, that is, network security sign. It is used to uniquely identify computer accounts, user groups, and user accounts. It is determined by three parameters: computer name, current time and the sum of CPU time spent by the current user mode thread to ensure its uniqueness. Many system softwares use this tag to uniquely identify a user.
