Dongdaihe River is located in Suizhong County, Huludao City, only seven kilometers away from Shanhaiguan District of Qinhuangdao, including Wanjiazhen and its surrounding coastal villages and towns, beaches and many historical sites. Sitting on a big beach with beautiful seascape, due to its late development, it still preserves relatively primitive coastal scenery.
The most famous seashore of Dongdaihe is Zhimiao Bay, where tourists gather to eat seafood, sunbathe on the beach and experience water sports such as speedboats and motorboats. In addition to the seaside scenery, you can also visit the ruins of Jieshi Palace, Wanfo Temple, Jiumenkou Great Wall, Qiansuo Ancient City and other scenic spots.
Historical legends of Dongdaihe River
Dongdaihe is a newly developed tourist area, but it has a unique cultural essence, especially the culture related to Jieshi and the Great Wall is the most colorful. There are as many cultural relics as 1 14, and the famous Jieshi Wonderland stands in the shallow sea. According to records, five emperors came here successively, leaving many poems.
On the other side of Jieshi is Jieshi Palace, which is the palace group site of Qin Shihuang, a national cultural relics protection unit. Qin Shihuang built a palace here and carved the famous Ci of Jieshimen, leaving a touching legend of Meng Jiangnv crying at the Great Wall. Liu Che, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, built a Hanwu Terrace here, overlooking the sea. Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong's envoy to Korea, left behind the memory of Han Emperor and the heroic poems of Qin Shihuang.
The famous sites of Qin and Han dynasties were formed where emperors stopped, including six sites: Shibeidi, Wazidi, Heishantou, Zhimiaowan, Dajintun and Zhoujiananshan.
