1904, "Guangdong-Guangxi Accelerated Normal College" was established.

1905, "Guangdong School of Politics and Law" was established.

1909, "Guangdong Agricultural and Forestry Experimental Field" was established. 1February 6, 924, Sun Yat-sen issued a presidential decree, appointing Zou Lu, president of the National Guangdong Normal University, as the director to prepare for the establishment of Guangdong University. Zou Lu took office on February 26, 2002/kloc-0, and immediately hired 35 people, including Wang Xinggong, Wang Xinggong, Wang Chunfan, Wang Chunfan and Chen Cheng, as the preparatory committee members, and set up a preparatory office, so that he could borrow the start-up funds from various competent departments in Guangdong. On May 9th, the preparatory work was completed. On June 9th, Sun Yat-sen appointed Zou Lu as the principal by presidential decree. At the same time, Guangdong Normal University, Guangdong Public University of Political Science and Law and Guangdong Public Agricultural College were merged and upgraded to "National Guangdong University", which started on September 19 and resumed classes on September 10/1. According to the school regulations of Guangdong University at that time, the purpose of Guangdong University was to "inculcate and study advanced theories and technologies, and popularize and apply them according to the national conditions." The school has 1 principal, 1 secretary-general to assist in school affairs. The principal, science director, preparatory director and professor of the whole school choose several people from each other to evaluate and plan the important affairs of the school. When Guangdong University was founded, Yang Shouchang was the senior liberal arts student and Gao Chongkui was the senior science student. Many famous scholars have been hired to teach in our school. Such as Guo Moruo, Yu Dafu and Zheng Hecheng of liberal arts; He is interested in the science of Zhang Yun, Chen Zongnan and others.

1925, "Guangdong Public Medical University" and "Guangdong Public Institute of Technology" merged.

1926 In March, Guo Moruo became a senior in liberal arts, and Yu Dafu was the head of the English literature department. In April, the Secretariat began to publish the periodical "Learning Art Series", and conducted academic and literary discussions, social transformation research, criticism of world trends, and introduction of eastern and western masterpieces.

Former site of Guangdong University

At that time, Guangdong University was divided into four places in Guangzhou, but its headquarters, two colleges of arts and sciences, libraries and affiliated schools were all located in the former Wen Ming Road Normal University (now Lu Xun Memorial Hall), which was also the venue of the first national congress of the Chinese Kuomintang and the place where Sun Yat-sen delivered a speech on the Three People's Principles. According to the idea of running a school in the early days, we tried to make the medical department of CUHK German-style, agricultural American-style and liberal arts Peking University-style. Dai Chuanxian was the first president of Sun Yat-sen University. When Dai was ill, educator Jing Hengyi took his place temporarily.

In February this year, the Observatory was built on the mountain where the Science Department of CUHK is located. On March 1, Sun Yat-sen University held a grand opening ceremony. In August, it was renamed as "National No.1 Sun Yat-sen University" (1in March, 928, it was renamed as "National Sun Yat-sen University"). The former China Literature Department was changed to China Language and Literature Department, and the strengthening of literature and history was the most obvious. In addition to the former professor, Xu Shoushang, Sun Fuyuan, Sun Fuxi, He Sijing, Jiang, Gu Jiegang, Luo Changpei, Liu Qifeng, Yu Pingbo, Yang Zhensheng and others came one after another. Fu Sinian is the head of the department of philosophy and literature and history, and Sun Fuyuan is the head of the department of history.

In 1930s, there were seven colleges: arts, science, law, engineering, agriculture, medicine and teachers. 193 1 year was changed to liberal arts, law, science, agriculture and medical college. At that time, the original site of the Medical Department (College) was on Bai Zi Road, connected with the First Affiliated Hospital, with a total area of 150 mu. This building was one of the most distinctive buildings in the south at that time. The college adopts the academic year system regardless of departments, with 5 years of undergraduate courses and 6 years of internship 1 year. There were two affiliated hospitals at that time. The first hospital covers an area of 64 mu and is connected with the college. CUHK trained Emperor Wen of Sui, Wang Dianxi, Ye Shaofu, Luo Qian, Zhang Mengshi, Zeng Xianwen and other first-class medical talents in China at that time. In March of the same year, the establishment of engineering college was mentioned again, and it is planned to be established in the second half of the year. First, four departments of civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and chemical engineering were established, and the school site was tentatively set as Wen Ming Road. In the second year, he moved to the new campus of Shipai (now in the campus of South China University of Technology and South China Agricultural University). 1934, after Xu Chongqing took over as president, he merged the departments of civil engineering and chemistry with the science department of the Institute of Technology and renamed it the Institute of Technology. After the establishment of the Institute of Technology, there are four departments: electrical, mechanical, civil and chemical.

1935 set up a research institute and began to recruit graduate students.

1937, National Guangdong Law College merged into Law School; "Guangdong Li Qin University Institute of Technology" (formerly Guangdong Institute of Technology) was merged into the Institute of Technology of Sun Yat-sen University, and the Department of Architectural Engineering was added.

1938 normal college was established, and the department of architectural engineering was added to the institute of technology. In the same year, influenced by War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he moved to Chengjiang, Yunnan, and moved back to Shi Ping, northern Guangdong on 1940.

1945, moved back to Guangzhou Shipai and other original sites to resume classes. In September 2000, Zhuhai Campus was built in Tangjiawan, Zhuhai.

200110/On October 26th, Sun Yat-sen University and Sun Yat-sen Medical University merged (formerly Sun Yat-sen Medical College, formed by merging Sun Yat-sen Medical College and Lingnan Medical College, and 1954 merged with Guangdong Guanghua Medical College).

In September 2004, the East Campus was completed in Guangzhou University Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou.
