Swordfish No.1 made its first flight on1935 65438+February 3 1, and Swordfish No.2 was equipped with an air-to-sea rocket for the first time and a Sagittarius 30 engine with 750 horsepower. The improved swordfish III is equipped with an ocean detection radar between two fixed landing gears, while the swordfish IV is equipped with a closed hatch cover by the Canadian Air Force.

By the end of the war, more than 13 flying squadrons had been equipped with swordfish attack aircraft, and about 20 training squadrons had been set up to use the aircraft. The last swordfish left the factory on August 22nd, 1944, and a total of 2392 swordfish were produced. The last attack squadron using swordfish was disbanded on1May 2, 9451,almost immediately after Germany surrendered. The last training squadron using swordfish was dissolved in the summer of 1946.
