Huanghuatang New Fourth Army Memorial Hall is located in Huanghuatang Village, Huanghuatang Town, about 30 kilometers southeast of Xuyi County, Huai 'an City, Jiangsu Province. It is a national key cultural relics protection unit, a national AAAA-level scenic spot, a hundred national red tourism classic scenic spots, a patriotic education base in Jiangsu Province, and an educational reality classroom demonstration site in party member, Jiangsu Province. General Zhang Aiping, former defense minister, wrote the name of the museum in his own handwriting. The memorial hall covers an area of 6,543,800 square meters with a building area of 6,000 square meters, including the New Fourth Army History Museum, the Culture and Art Museum, the former military auditorium and the former residences of Chen Yi, Rao Shushi and Ceng Shan. The New Fourth Army History Museum was opened to the public in April 2003, and the New Fourth Army Culture and Art Museum was opened to the public in June 20 10. There are 63 precious cultural relics in the memorial hall, including 6 first-class cultural relics, 2 second-class cultural relics 13 and 44 third-class cultural relics.
