Kang Youwei (1858 ~ 1927), also known as Zu Ti, was formerly known as Guangsha, and its name grew with time, and it was also known as Su Chang, Ming Yi, Ji Geng, Xiqiao Mountain, Youcuncuo and Hua Tianyou. In his later years, he was also known as Hua Tianyou, a native of Nanhai, Guangdong. Born into an official family, a prominent family in Guangdong, a Confucian for generations, a family heirloom of Neo-Confucianism.
