Why did Zhang Qian and Su Wu appear in the Han Dynasty?
In my personal opinion, Zhang Qian and Su Wu are the backbone of the Han Dynasty, not that this is the cause of the Han Dynasty, but that as a Han Chinese, they generally have backbone. Many people, such as Wen Tianxiang Yuefei in later generations, are Chinese sons and daughters of Han descent. Their backbone is just an expression of character.

This kind of performance, on the whole, is inspired by the threat from another nation. At that time, Han was threatened by ethnic minorities, and Su Wu, as an envoy, represented the face of the royal family in the Han Dynasty. Even if he puts himself in danger, he will never leave a weak title for the vast number of Han compatriots.

Zhang Qian's mission to the Western Regions represented the face of the Han Dynasty. His task is not only to make friends with other countries, but also to promote the glory of the Han people. So their stories more represent the essential characteristics of the Han people, that is, blood and backbone, and also represent that the Han people are a nation that will never be conquered.

We have all heard about the strength of the Han Dynasty, and its existence is of great significance to the later feudal dynasties in many ways. The Han dynasty is also the dynasty when we learned that we began to fight against nomadic people like Xiongnu and protect the Han family. Therefore, many documents of the Han Dynasty at that time, especially the documents of the struggle between the two ethnic groups, have important research significance for later generations.
