What are the lessons of China's modern history?
The failure of China's modern anti-aggression war left us a profound lesson:

First, in modern China, to strive for national independence and national prosperity, we must change the semi-colonial and semi-feudal social system under the joint rule of imperialism and feudalism. Imperialist aggression is the root of the great disaster suffered by the people of China. At the same time, the corrupt Qing government has lost the ability and qualification to lead the people of China to win the war of resistance against aggression. The reason why the Qing government lost this ability was fundamentally caused by the feudal autocratic system. Therefore, opposing imperialist aggression and overthrowing the decadent feudal autocracy are two historical tasks entrusted to the people of China by history.

Second, lagging behind will be beaten. In order to win the war against aggression, we need to catch up in science and technology and carry out modernization. However, the premise of modernization is national independence and people's liberation. Without overthrowing the reactionary imperialist rule over China, there will be no preconditions and conditions for modernization, and it will be difficult to make the country truly strong.
