Why is Beihai called Beihai?
Beihai was named after Beihai Village in Qing Dynasty because it faces the sea to the north.

"Beihai Toponymy" includes: "Beihai, before Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, was originally an ancient fishing village named Beihai Village. On this basis, the urban area gradually developed eastward, and Beihai Village was named after the sea in the north. In the early years of Qing Emperor Kangxi, the "Beihai Town Mark" was stationed there, which was the first sight of Beihai place names.

This sea is called the North Sea because it faces the sea in the north. However, Beihai Village has become a village in the city, located near the aquatic products market of Yunnan Road in Beihai City.

Beihai city was formed late, and ancient books are rare. The place name of Weizhou in China was already in Jiaozhou Ji of Jin Dynasty. From the Qin and Han Dynasties to the early liberation, Beihai belonged to Hepu County. Beihai was established in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but Songkhla, a desolate corner, entered the territory of China as early as 3,000 years ago.

At the beginning of Kangxi, Beihai Town was established, and Beihai place names were first seen. Zhu Changba village moved to Zhu Changcun, and was stationed in the naval patrol.

In the eighth year of Daoguang (1828), Guangdong Province held a permanent group. Hepu County was divided into 16 groups and 53 bureaus, with different numbers of bureaus under each group. Beihai is the Jinghai Group, which governs Beihai, Weizhou and Gaode, and tieshangang district is the Pearl River Group.

In the sixth year of Xianfeng (1856), the inspection department of Pearl Farm moved to Beihai, which was under the inspection department of Pearl Farm in Hepu County, Lianzhou Prefecture.
