The new magistrate who succeeded him was Cai Jing's son Cai Yan, a surname. After Cai Yan came to power, she insulted the people and made people complain. When he took office, he called him Cai Hu. Song Wu hated him, so he found a chance to kill him. Finally, he was outnumbered, arrested and imprisoned, and finally died in prison. At that time, people appreciated his kindness and buried him beside Xiling Bridge in Hangzhou. Later generations erected a monument for him, "Tomb of Song Wu, Yi Shi of Song Dynasty". There is indeed a tomb of Song Wu near the West Lake in Hangzhou, but it was destroyed in 1955.

It can be seen that Song Wu did exist in history, but he was not born in the green forest, nor was he an outlaw, nor did Song Wu kill a tiger. Although this tiger is not another tiger, his chivalrous heart is the same as his feelings of upholding justice for heaven.
