What does AMG mean?
It is a modified subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz, which is generally a super version, such as C63AMG, E63AMG, S65AMG, etc. Mercedes-Benz will design an AMG version while designing a car. It can be said that it is a car model, because the suspension, exhaust and enclosure of the car have been changed.

The history of Mercedes-Benz AMG begins with 1967 in the last century. Two Germans: Hans? Werner? Auffray Hurt and eberhard? Melcher, a small German town called Grosaspach, started their refitting business. The origin of the name "AMG" comes from these three. Mr. Aufrecht and Mr. Melcher and the first letter of the local name, AMG was born! Mr Aufrecht used to be a member of Daimler company. Mercedes-Benz (Daimler-Benz) Car Factory is responsible for engine testing and adjustment, so it knows all about Mercedes-Benz engines.

In 1970s, AMG achieved great success, and made many racing cars and high-performance streetcars on the basis of Mercedes-Benz, but it was not until 1988 that AMG became an important force in manufacturing high-performance cars. That year, AMG established a strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz, and Mercedes-Benz began to return to the German car tour and other events.

The first car jointly developed by the two companies was C36 AMG produced in 1993. Now Mercedes-Benz promises to produce its AMG models on every Mercedes-Benz.

The tradition of emphasizing high performance, especially the application of high-power engines, and the unique concept of limited supply of cars by M and AMG will drive fans all over the world crazy and create eternal glory for companies like M and AMG.

Earlier, AMG mainly built some racing cars on the basis of Mercedes-Benz 300 SE to participate in the European Tour. But in order to win, the company also experienced a long wait, and the first breakthrough on the field was at 197 1. A Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 modified by AMG won the championship in the same class in the 24-hour race of the famous Spa track in Belgium, ranking second in overall.

The drivers at that time were Hans Haier and his teammate Clemes Hickendanz. It was later proved that the success of 197 1 was a turning point for AMG to achieve enviable results on the track.
