More than 2000 years ago, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty pacified South Vietnam, established Hepu County, and opened up the Maritime Silk Road connecting Chinese and Western civilizations. Hepu County (now Beihai) is located on the Beibu Gulf, with Dalian Mountain and Nanliujiang River in its territory. It is the earliest port of departure of the Maritime Silk Road. Liuhu ancient tea, which originated from Liu Hu-Dalian Mountain in Beihai City, went out to sea with the ship for the crew to drink during the long voyage, and gradually became a trade commodity and tea of the Maritime Silk Road. This is the earliest tea exported from China, and it is called Hayes ancient tea.
Guhepu County is the earliest origin of the Maritime Silk Road, and Beihai Hayes ancient tea is the earliest symbol of exporting tea and Hayes culture on the Maritime Silk Road. Beihai Hayes four-course tea has become the favorite program of Beihai tourists. Beihai silver tea has become a tourist specialty in Beihai, and tourists take it back as a family heirloom.
