Dreamweaver's user interface is divided into several windows, and only a few windows can be accommodated on the screen when working. In order to save the real operating state, the best strategy is to dock the open windows together. You may have tried to drag and drop the title bar of a window, which can be connected in many programs, but not in Dreamweaver.
The trick to realize window connection is to drag the tab bar of the window with the mouse instead of the title bar. Try clicking and dragging the tab bar of one window to browse another window. When you see a black border, release the mouse button and you will find that the two windows have been merged into one. Now you can connect any number of windows in this way, and finally merge them into one window, which can save a lot of screen space and see the actual work. However, please note that the loader window, property window and site window cannot be connected.
(2), data input
Dreamweaver allows you to enter data directly in a table, which is much easier than cutting and pasting content into cells again and again. However, if the data to be input contains a command to insert table data, there will be some trouble. Unfortunately, Dreamweaver can only enter. Txt file with delimiter. If you want to process a Word or Excel file, you can first output it as. Txt file, and then input into Dreamweaver. You will find such treatment as wonderful as dreaming!
(3) Delete, Restore and Repeat
Entering data into tables can save a lot of operation time, but one of the most useful functions in Dreamweaver is its history window. In this window, once the document is opened, every subsequent operation will be recorded, so that you can track the operation behavior and simply undo or repeat the previous step. Just select the last step in the history window and press the Delete key, or drag the slider to a step to delete several steps at a time. Similarly, click the replay button in the window to perform one step again.
Isn't it strange that you can't save more than 50 steps? This is the default value. To increase this value, select Edit/Parameter Selection, confirm that you are on the "Normal" function page, and enter a larger value in the "Maximum Value of Historical Steps" field. Note that the more save steps are set, the greater the memory consumption.
(4), expansion! Spread out!
You can use extensions to add more features to Dreamweaver. Many developers create extensions and give them to more people for free. You can visit Macromedia's website to exchange works with others. When Dreamweaver is running, select Command/Get More Commands, and the browser will automatically start and go to the exchange site. Download the extension manager before you start collecting all the new skills, which will make it easy to track the extension.
(5) Create photo albums
Creating thumbnails for many graphics at once is a tedious job, especially when you are not an experienced graphics expert. It doesn't matter. Dreamweaver has a function, like one of your graphic design assistants, to complete the thumbnail design work according to your requirements. After you tell Dreamweaver which folder contains graphics, it will create a thumbnail for each graphic, a page containing complete graphics and an index page containing all thumbnails. In order to use this feature, you need to install Fireworks first. First, establish the file structure: put all the graphic files in a folder. Then, choose Command/Create Web Album and set the corresponding options. Don't think too much about the title and subtitle, and you can modify them later. It is important to indicate the source drawing folder and the destination folder, because this information determines which files to process. At the same time, determine the size, format and other options of thumbnails. After clicking "OK", Dreamweaver transfers control to Fireworks, and Fireworks starts to batch process files to create a very good small photo album or continuous product catalog. If you have a lot of photos, set up to start running and then have a rest. Dreamweaver and Fireworks will do all the work.
(6), create a custom command
Do you remember that one of Dreamweaver's most useful functions is the history window? This is no joke. Dreamweaver can create a new command sequence based on the actions listed in the History window.
To create a command, simply perform the steps you want to record. Then, in the history window, select the step to save, click the Save As icon in the lower right corner, give a name, and then click OK. At this point, your custom command appears in the command menu, and you can use it at will.
(7) Cooperation with others
For a Web developer who cooperates with others, he doesn't have to worry about others modifying your favorite files. Dreamweaver uses check-in and check-out systems to protect open files.
