Readers often criticize Bian Xiao for not reading official history, which is recorded in Historical Records. If historical records are all about unofficial history, other historical books will blush. This passage today mainly refers to the sacred history in your mind, of course, but there are still many parts that are difficult to understand with modern eyes. Let's try to find a clue that is more in line with modern logic and restore the truth of history.

If I'm not mistaken, most people who are familiar with the Zhou Dynasty should know it from 36 episodes or even 72 episodes of the domestic TV series "The List of Gods", and some of them were overheard in history classes. I pushed myself a little higher and read some history books such as Historical Records of Forgetting the Admission Ticket Number and Hanshu. Did you come to the Zhou Dynasty because you read Zhouyi? If there is, I'll give you one in this box first.

Of course, Zhou Wuwang and Zhou Wenwang are the most familiar figures in the Zhou Dynasty. Heroes create times, because great people remember this time, which is understandable. Tracing back to the source, the ancestor of the Zhou Dynasty was an agricultural teacher who began in the period of Emperor Yao, equivalent to a modern agricultural minister. Later generations called him Hou Ji, the title or posthumous title. His real name is disgust, disgust.

According to "Historical Records", the abandoned mother Jiang was Tai's concubine. Jiang _ has never been pregnant, but later stepped on a giant's footprint in the wild and was abandoned after pregnancy. People around you feel unlucky. Most importantly, Di Ku, as a tribal leader, probably thinks he is cuckolded. For this reason, abandoned mothers are also very annoying. She still made a special trip to calculate a divination, and may encounter a second knife, so she threw the child into a secluded alley, thinking that no one would care about starvation.

As a result, the villagers rushed the cattle and sheep from the place where the baby was thrown, and the cattle and sheep carefully avoided it, and no one dared to step on it; Ginger _ is even more fantastic, probably because Hou Ji is so ugly that my mother won't give up and has to kill him. He will throw him into the forest and be eaten by wolves and dogs. It happened that there were many people in the Woods, and she was embarrassed. It was winter, so I threw him on the frozen river, thinking that it wouldn't kill you this time. Unexpectedly, many birds spread their wings around him to help keep warm. Jiang _, a cruel mother, realized the magic of the child and took him home.

These words are illogical. Let's put them aside. First of all, we feel cold for our mother's ruthlessness. Didn't you say tiger poison doesn't eat children? Didn't you say that children are the pride of mothers? Generally, throwing a child is for fear that he will starve to death, so it should be thrown in front of a large family or a family without children in a crowded place. Ginger _ harmony is not only to choose a remote and uninhabited place, but also to change to a more biased place at a time. It seems that she will not be relieved when the child dies. Since it's so cruel, why not just bury it? If you are really so cruel, you will starve to death sooner or later. Why did she throw it away and go back to see it a few days later? This is an unexplained contradiction.

In addition, there are only a few reasons for throwing away children: one is that there are too many children to raise, and the other is that the gender of the children is not what they want. She is a concubine, how can she not afford to raise a child, let alone a child with a handle?

Moreover, there is a passage in "The Legend of the Woman" called Jiang _, and the virtue does not return, and the gods depend on it. Ode: abandon the mother river _, be quiet and single-minded, die for the emperor, and the mother road will be exhausted. This is basically the original words in the Book of Songs, that is to say, Jiang himself is a man of noble character, with a mother instrument, kind, quiet and single-minded personality. Hou Ji was abandoned because of his mother. This reason does not hold water. Is it because he is really ugly? It's not that bad.

Strangely, the records of Hou Ji's abandonment in The Book of Songs and Biography of Women are exactly the same. It is said that Jiang _ stepped on the giant's footprints in the wild and got pregnant before giving birth to Hou Ji. Hou Ji was named Abandoned Son because he was abandoned from the beginning. What the hell is going on?

The fact may not be so complicated, because The Book of Songs was first formed in the Zhou Dynasty, and Sima Qian's Historical Records and Biography of Liu Xiang are all works of the Han Dynasty. The written materials about Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties are very limited, and most of them are folklore before three generations, which has been passed down from mouth to mouth. Therefore, even Sima Qian, who is famous for his rigorous record of objective historical facts, had to add some legends and folk sayings in order to ensure the integrity of the system, because there were really no other reference materials, so he could not directly leave this history blank.

Therefore, it is most likely that we will restore it to something like this: the parts about Hou Ji in Historical Records and Biography of Women are directly taken from the records in The Book of Songs, which is a literary work. In order to shape the glorious and great revolutionary image of the ancient sages of the Three Emperors and Five Emperors, some literary processing is often carried out. There is nothing wrong with this, and there are not a few emperors in the future. For example, Emperor Gaozu said that he was the son of Chi Di and cut the white snake to rebel; Li Shimin said that he is a descendant of Li Er; Zhu Yuanzhang said that Zhu was his ancestor.

So Hou Ji's mother stepped on the giant's footprints and conceived him, just to emphasize that he was not a mortal, but the son of God. In the latter part, his mother abandoned him again and again, but he was not killed by animal protection, just saying that there would be a vision tomorrow. The child is not simple and exaggerates the myth. As for being abandoned, there is also a suspicion that abandoning this name will pierce the sideline.

In fact, Jiang _ is just an ordinary concubine, even the emperor later sealed him, and he is just a tribal leader. The ordinary daughter-in-law of a tribal leader finally got pregnant and gave birth to a boy. Of course, treat her like a treasure. Moreover, because the ancient people in China were very afraid of having too big a name and being cursed, the more humble a child's name is, the more blessed it is. This concept has been popular until the forties and fifties of last century. At that time, many people in the older generation called it "dog roe deer", which means that wolves don't eat and dogs don't bite, so that they can survive. Because the survival rate of ancient children was very low, many children were finally killed and dismembered by wild dogs, and adults were afraid that they would not live.

People are connected and the reason is the same. Of course, tribal leaders value this more, not to mention Jiang _ is a good wife and mother, and a virtuous woman. So I gave my son a very humble name-dislike, which means that no matter how the days are, such children can live well. However, later generations thought that a great father of agriculture, a generation of agricultural gods, could have such an ordinary background and such a humble name, so they added salt and vinegar and made some packaging, and there was a fairy story in the Book of Songs. When Sima Qian and Taishi Gong Liu Xiang wrote this history, only the Book of Songs could be used for reference, so they had to draw a gourd ladle.

This is to restore this historical truth, the real official history. In fact, from today's perspective, it is completely unnecessary. Heroes don't ask where they came from. Why do they kiss up to their ancestors 18 generation in the morning? A person's greatness lies not in his birth, but in his own efforts. Isn't it more admirable that he can make great achievements with ordinary family background and ordinary nature?
