Who invented the C language?
C language was created by dennis macalistair ritchie (Chinese name: dennis ritchie), the "father of C language".

C language was created by D.M.Ritchie on the basis of B language. The emergence of C language has experienced the following course:

1970, Ken Thompson of Bell Laboratories designed a very simple and very close to hardware B language (taking the initials of BCPL) based on BCPL language. He wrote the first UNIX operating system in B language.

1972, D.M.Ritchie of Bell Laboratories finally designed a new language based on B language. He took the second letter of BCPL as the name of this language, which is C language.

1973, and the main body of C language is completed. Thompson and Ricky can't wait to start rewriting UNIX completely with it. Until today, various versions of UNIX kernel and peripheral tools still use C as the main development language, and a lot of code is inherited from Thompson and Ritchie.

Extended data:

After dennis ritchie invented C language, it had a very strong social impact, as follows:

C language is one of the most widely used languages. The birth of C language is the starting point of modern programming language revolution and a milestone in the history of programming language development.

Since the appearance of C language, object-oriented languages such as C++, Java and C# based on C language have been born one after another, and have achieved great success in their respective fields. However, C language still occupies a dominant position in system programming, embedded programming and other fields.

The most effective and universal programming language, C language, was developed by dennis ritchie, which was a by-product of his other project. Dennis ritchie also developed the Unix operating system with ken Thompson, so he is the father of Unix.
