Renqiu has a long history. Ren Qiu, a general of the Western Han Dynasty, built a city here to prevent Haikou, and named it Ren Qiu. 1986, the county was removed to set up a city, which was managed by Cangzhou city. Renqiu belongs to the warm temperate and semi-humid continental monsoon climate, and its famous scenic spots include Baiyangdian Li Qian levee, Yizhou Temple and oil mine park. Most of the surface water in Renqiu City is in a state of free overflow, and flows from west to east and north along the terrain. All the rivers in the territory are the south branch of the Daqing River system, and the main mineral resources are oil, natural gas and geothermal resources.
