Tangya Tusi City is located in Xianfeng County, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province, 28 kilometers away from the county seat, Tangya Temple Village, Jianshan Township. It is one of the famous "Nine Rivers and Eighteen Caves" and the first of the three big toasts in Xianfeng County. 1992 was listed as a provincial cultural relics protection unit by the provincial people's government, and was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in 2006. Now it is listed in the world cultural heritage protection list by National Cultural Heritage Administration 20 15. Tangya Tusi was first sealed in the 15th year of Zheng Zheng (1355), flourished in the apocalypse of the Ming Dynasty (1621-kloc-0/627), and was abandoned in the 13th year of Yongzheng (1735) in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. During the Tusi period, from the first Tusi Chyi Chin to the last Tusi Qin Guanglie, there were17th generation Tusi in Tangya, and16th generation Tusi recognized by the Central Dynasty. Their ranks are long litigation, thousand households, appeasement department and Fu Xuan department, mainly long litigation, belonging to the lower toast.
In its heyday, Tangya Tusi City was magnificent, with 36 courtyards in three streets and eighteen lanes, with many facilities such as Tusi office, academy, shooting range, barracks, zoo, racecourse, ancestral temple and savings office. Among the ruins, the stone archway in Xiongzhen, Jingnan Town, Zhang's "Stone Man and Horse", the tomb of the toast, the city wall and the streets are well preserved.
Tangya Tusi City site is the product of the important historical event of "the rebellion of luxury and security" in Ming Dynasty. In terms of site selection and layout, the city has made full use of the surrounding natural disasters, and it has been promoted step by step with the artificial city walls, which is impregnable. In the era of cold weapons, cities are insurmountable fortress cities; Tangya Tusi City breaks through the traditional way of sitting north facing south, but sits west facing east, which embodies the unique customs and culture of Tujia people. This city contains rich cultural connotations in architecture and sculpture, which embodies the integration of Chinese and Turkish cultures.
