What is the history of Guanzhuang boat lights?
Guanzhuang boat lantern originated from the "Pan Ziyun" Pingzou class dissolved in Xianfeng period of Qing Dynasty. In the troupe, a couple began to perform pingtan while catching a boat, which was loved by the villagers and gradually spread. Guanzhuang boat lamp has a unique shape, the hull is a lion lamp or a phoenix boat, and the upper part is a pavilion. It is performed in the form of two boats and four people. There are two performers on each boat, namely Xiao Sheng and Gong Gong, Xiao Dan and Shi Niang.

The "boat" used to jump "boat lights" is generally made of bamboo and wood. The lamp holder is about 7 feet long and 5 feet high. It is decorated with colored paper strips outside and tied into flowers, birds, insects and fish. The boat lantern dance mainly reflects the love story of young Hakka men and women. Generally, there are three people performing, one hiding in the cabin at the helm, one boatman at the bow and one boatwoman at the stern. A man and a woman performed at the bow and stern, and vividly demonstrated the artistic effect of "sailing on the river" through a series of highly tacit movements of three people. Boats paddle all the way to the beach, down the beach, on the rocks, pulling boats and paddling, echoing back and forth, laughing and laughing, often making people laugh, adding a lot of festive atmosphere to the festival. The tunes of boat lanterns are very popular, often featuring "Eight Bantou" and "Fisherman's Music", interspersed with dozens of ditties such as "The ancients in December". Playing and singing are easy.
