The mathematics base class belongs to the College of Mathematics and Statistics of Lanzhou University. Founded in 2004, the Institute was formerly the Department of Mathematics of Lanzhou University and the Department of Mathematical Mechanics of Lanzhou University. The Department of Mathematical Mechanics of Lanzhou University was founded in 1946 with a history of 60 years. In the 60-year course of running a school, under the leadership of the older generation of mathematicians, Mr. Chen Wenyuan and Mr. Chen Qingyi, the mathematics discipline of Lanzhou University has gradually developed from a simple undergraduate teaching type to a provincial key discipline that focuses on undergraduate education, trains master students and doctoral students, and has the first-class Post-Doctoral Research Center and the right to award doctoral degrees in mathematics. Our hospital is one of the first units in China with the right to award bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.
