1, different definitions

History, for short, refers to the history of human society. It is a discipline that records and explains a series of historical events in the process of human activities, and it is also a mapping of the present era in many cases. If it is only summary and mapping, then history as an existence should disappear.

The problem of history is to discover the real past constantly, to speak with materials, and how people can become a negotiable problem in reality. History is an extension. History is the inheritance, accumulation and expansion of culture and the track of human civilization.

History is a form of knowledge in which human beings screen and combine their own historical materials. History is the concept of dynamic space in static time. History is an organic combination of history, science, philosophy, humanities and their time and space.

2. Difference in a broad sense.

"History" in a broad sense can refer to all the events that happened in the past, not necessarily related to human society. In philosophy, history in this sense is called historical ontology, such as the history of the universe, the history of the earth, the history of birds and so on.

The broad sense of "history" is the unity of "history has two meanings" produced by the simultaneous training of "history". Including: the objective existence and development process of human past society completely independent of human consciousness;

Historians describe and explore this objective existence, process and its laws, spiritual production practice and products created by it. The narrow sense of historiography refers to the latter, which is the unity of spiritual production and practice, and what it creates belongs to ideology.

3. Historical evolution is different.

History: The meaning of "history" was first expressed by the word "history" in Chinese. In Oracle Bone Inscriptions, the word "history" is similar to "thing" and refers to an event. Xu Shen's Shuo Wen Jie Zi said: "History is also recorded; From the middle, middle and right. " It is pointed out that the original meaning of "history" is the recorder, that is, "historian".

By extension, it represents what historians have recorded, in other words, all the past things recorded in words. The word "history" appeared relatively late. The History of the Three Kingdoms, and Wu Yin and Wu Zhusun Quan "read and pass on history and adopt strangeness". The word "calendar" before "history" refers to experience and calendar, that is, a period of time experienced by human beings.

By adding the concept of time to the event, the word "history" has the meaning of today. In order to translate English "history", modern Japanese scholars attached the word "history" to it to make it a corresponding word.

History: History originated in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Confucius began history education long ago, and wrote works in the Spring and Autumn Period. By the time Sima Qian and his son established a relatively perfect historical system and creative form in the Han Dynasty, historiography had begun to become the focus of official research. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Ban Gu studied history in Lantai (Yushitai), specially preserved books, began to control history officially, and prohibited private study of history.

With the development of feudal democracy, the Jin Dynasty not only established an official professional book province, but also had senior officials in charge of books and history revision, and allowed folk history revision. Official history and private history coexist, and the historical view reflecting the official position and the people's position has gradually formed. Later generations usually regard the relatively objective and accurate historical works recognized by both the government and the people as official history and represent official historiography.

The relationship between history and history;

The second meaning of history, that is, the recording and research of past events, is also called "historiography" or "historiography" for short. Subjects belonging to or closely related to history include chronology, compilation, genealogy, ancient philology, econometric history, archaeology, sociology and journalism. Look at history.

People who record and study history are called historians, or simply "historians". In ancient China, they were called historians. Books that record history are called historical books, such as Historical Records and Hanshu, which can be roughly divided into two categories: official revision and folk publication.
