Yichun is located in the northeast of China and Heilongjiang Province, bordering Hegang and Jiamusi in the east, Harbin in the south, Heihe and Suihua in the west, and Amur and Jewish States across the Heilongjiang River in the north, with a border of 245.9 kilometers.
Yichun's history can be traced back to the Zhou Dynasty, when it was the active area of the Su protoss. From the Warring States to the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it was the site of raccoon, Fuyu, Kou "Yichun Gashan" and Doumo Building. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Heishui Department, one of the Seven Blackwater Departments, was located in Heishui County, Hebei Province.
Yichun is characterized by "eight mountains, half water and half grass and one field". The whole terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, steep in the south and slow in the north, with an average elevation of 600 meters. There are 77 peaks 1000 meters above the territory, and the highest peak is Pingdingshan, with an altitude of 1.423 meters.
