What is the content of the Declaration of Independence, an oil painting of the Capitol in Washington?
In the rotunda of the Capitol in Washington, the oil painting Declaration of Independence, which is 3.7 meters high and 5.5 meters wide, is almost a fixed attraction for tourists from all over the world. This work, created by john trumbull, depicts1on June 28th, 776, 56 representatives of North American colonies attending the Second Continental Congress gathered in the Pennsylvania State Hall in Philadelphia to draft the Declaration of Independence.

Thomas Jefferson, the main author of the Declaration and the representative of Virginia, stood in the center of the picture in a red vest and a black coat, surrounded by the respected Benjamin Franklin and the future President john adams. Opposite them, john hancock, chairman of the Continental Congress, reclined in an armchair, waiting for Charles Thomson, the secretary next to him, to copy the discussed articles on parchment.

The document in front of them not only declared that the colonies in North America 13 States had officially separated from British sovereignty and became completely independent political entities, but also used the name "United States of America" for the first time in history.

Although the content depicted in this oil painting is self-evident for the independence of the United States, by the end of the summer of 1776, "America" was still a concept on paper to a large extent, and it had not yet formed a real virtual concept of political, economic and territorial entities.

Such a weak and chaotic regime seems to be blown down by a gust of wind at any time, but it has shown tenacious vitality and frank and pragmatic spirit in the face of internal and external troubles. It is through a series of arguments and games that the 1787 Constitution and its 10 amendment were born, and the first generation of political party system in the United States was also born. In other words, after the war of independence, this paper war is equally important for the establishment of a country. Four years after the smoke cleared, a real country was born in North America.
