Politically, Shang Yang reformed the household registration of Qin State, and decided the promotion of official titles by military exploits. At the same time, it has also formulated a sound land system, standards of weights and measures, folk customs and strict laws. Economically, Shang Yang advocated attaching importance to agriculture and restraining business, and rewarding farmers who tilled the fields. Militarily, Shang Yang also led as commander-in-chief to help Qin recover Hexi.

Shang Yang (about 395 BC-338 BC), surnamed Ji, Gongsun and Yang, was a patriotic man. Politicians, reformers, thinkers, militarists, legalists, descendants of the country. In 338 BC, after the death of Qin Xiaogong, Shang Yang was falsely accused of rebellion by his son Qian, and died in his younger brother (now southwest of Huazhou District, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province). The body was transported to Xianyang and the whole family was killed.
