Wanzhai, formerly known as Huquan Cliff, was under the jurisdiction of Dongxiang Tusi in Yuan and Ming Dynasties. Yongzheng (13) in the Qing Dynasty changed the land into a stream, and Xuanen County was established, which belonged to Shinan House and Wanzhai belonged to Dongxiangli in Xuanen County. In Qing Dynasty, Anbaili Uprising spread to the south of the city, and one of them moved to Huquan Cliff, which developed rapidly and established many camps. Judging from the names left over from now, there are Top Ten Battalions, Dark Battalion, Dayingkou, Xiaoyingkou, Xinzhai, Duyuan Village, Taigong Village, Luojiazhai, Majia Village and Zhaizi. Huquan Cliff is located in the middle, commonly known as Wanzhai. According to folklore, the Qing court sent Liang Shimin, a military commander, to Shinan to suppress and March on Yichang Prefecture. I heard that there are "thousands of camps" and "thousands of villages" on Tiger Spring Cliff, and I was scared to retreat without fighting. Since then, the name of Wanzhai has been known both inside and outside Nanfu.
