Colvis Nuss University in Budapest (formerly Budapest University of Economics and Public Administration) is a famous Hungarian public institution. Founded in 1948, located in Budapest, Hungary, facing the beautiful Danube, it witnessed the development of Hungary for more than half a century. Its predecessor was the Royal University of Hungary, where Marx, the great father of political economy, studied. It was named Karl Marx University of Economics in 1953. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, with the social and economic changes in Hungary, it was renamed Budapest University of Economic Sciences in 199 1, and the Hungarian Parliament formally passed the proposal of merging with the public school of management in 1999. The following year, it was officially renamed Budapest University of Economic Science and Public Administration. In 2000, this university had 4 colleges and 54 departments. The school passed CEMS and PIM certification in 2000 and 2000 respectively. In 2003, for the long-term development of the school, Hungarian Horticultural University and its three subordinate departments (Horticulture College, Food College, Landscape Architecture and Management College) merged. The following year, the university was officially renamed as Colvis Nuss University in Budapest, in order to better reflect and embody the humanities such as social sciences and natural sciences covered by the university.

In 2005, MBA ranked 25th among the top management schools in Europe.
