What stages did the development of medicine go through?
The stages of medical development are: the medical stage of deism, the medical stage of natural philosophy and the biomedical stage.

1, the medical stage of theism.

Originated from primitive society, because of the extremely low level of productivity at that time, people believed in "animism" and regarded disease as the punishment of gods or the masterpiece of demons. People treat diseases by praying for the blessing or forgiveness of gods, or by exorcising ghosts or avoiding evil spirits. Today, the remains of this model can be seen in some remote areas or certain cultures.

2. The medical stage of natural philosophy.

It appeared around 3000 BC. With the development of productive forces, people begin to realize the material basis of human body and the objective attributes of diseases. Represented by the idea of "harmony between man and nature" put forward by ancient Chinese medicine in China and "body fluid theory" put forward by Hippocrates and others in ancient Greece. This mode of philosophy is based on simple materialism, holism and monism of mind and body.

3. Biomedical stage.

/kloc-Since the 4th and 5th centuries, the Western Renaissance has greatly promoted the progress of science and the development of medicine. Harvey founded the theory of blood circulation, which laid the foundation of experimental physiology. A series of achievements of Morgan's research on disease organ localization and cytopathology founded by Wei Xiaoxiao laid the cornerstone of modern medicine and also marked the establishment of biomedical model.

Starting today. Biomedical model has greatly promoted the development of medicine and made people's understanding of diseases more and more in-depth and meticulous. However, this model also makes the philosophy of psychosomatic dualism and mechanical materialism occupy a dominant position, which makes people ignore the relativity between disease and health and the relationship and interaction between human biological, psychological and social factors. Therefore, this model itself has congenital defects, which will bring some negative effects in medical practice.
