Dongsha Town has a long history. The Neolithic cultural site in Beifandou, located in 20 mu, shows that residents lived in Dongsha 3000-4000 years ago. According to legend, more than 2,000 years ago, Xu Fu, an alchemist in the Qin Dynasty, searched for the elixir of life for Qin Shihuang. He went ashore from Zuitou in Dongshajiao Mountain and set foot on Penglai Mountain (called Daishan in ancient times). During the Five Dynasties, Shanzuitou was a resting place for Korean tribute ships. In the first year of Song Yuanfeng (1078), Dongsha belonged to Penglai Township (the name of Daishan Township since the Tang Dynasty). Guo Chang County was abandoned as a township in Ming Dynasty, and Dongsha belonged to Guo Chang Township. In the twenty-seventh year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1688), Dinghai County was established, with maps and places below the township, and Dongsha belonged to Penglai Township. In the twenty-first year of Daoguang Qing Dynasty (184 1), the village was changed to Zhuang, and Dongsha belonged to Zhuang. The story of Dinghai Hall in Guangxu of Qing Dynasty was originally named Dongshajiao Town. In the second year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty (19 10), Daishan Town was established, and Dongsha belonged to Daishan Town. In the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), Dongsha Town was established. 1939, Japanese invaders entered Dongsha and established an "autonomous society", which was called "Dongsha Special City". Wengzhou County was established 1949 and listed as a first-class town. 1950 After the liberation of Daishan in May, it was under the jurisdiction of Daiqu District of Dinghai County and built a town. 1953 to 1955 are the residence of Daishan county government and are called municipalities directly under the central government. In June 1958, the town was changed to Dongsha People's Commune. /kloc-0 changed its name to Dongsha town in June, 962. On February 8, 2003, 65438, the administrative region was adjusted, the original organizational system of Dongsha Town was abolished, and it merged with Nizhi Town and Siji Village of Gaoting Town to form a new Dongsha Town. After adjustment, Dongsha Town governs 12 administrative villages and 7 residential areas; The town government is based in Gongmen Village, 9 kilometers away from the county seat.
