Linqu County is high in the south and low in the north, with low mountains and hills in the south, west and east, and plains in the middle and north, just like a huge dustpan. There are more than 2,000 peaks in the territory, and 84 peaks above 500 meters above sea level. Due to the crisscross of low mountains, hills and plains, three landforms have been formed.
The southern Daguan, Jiusan, Jiangyu, Shijiahe, Jizishan, Songshan, Wujing and parts of Yeyuan and Mi Shan in the south-central part are composed of low mountains, moderate erosion areas and denudation accumulation areas, accounting for about 47% of the county. Jiaolin, Longgang, Qixian and Liu Shan in the east, Daguan, Pugou, Jiangyu and Yangjiahe in the southeast are low hills composed of basalt, gneiss, schist, glutenite and claystone.
Linqu, Zhifang, Yangshan, Qixian, Longgang, Ruth, Yeyuan in the north and Baita and Jiangyu in the southeast are part of piedmont and mountain plain. The terrain is low and flat, and they are eroded and scoured by the water currents in the east, south and west, forming a plain accumulation with a thickness of 3-50 meters, accounting for about 13% of the county.
