The old photos displayed in the Station History Museum include the establishment of Baoding Station, the construction of Baoding Railway Party Organization and the railway workers' movement under the leadership of the Party, the struggles and contributions of railway workers in the Great Revolution, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the construction and development of Baoding Station after the founding of New China, and the changes and achievements of Baoding Station in the new period of reform and opening up. Among them, Baoding Station was opened to traffic on February 1 8991day, and the escaped Cixi returned to Beijing on February 190 1 day. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, the Japanese army occupied Baoding Railway Station, and railway workers and guerrillas destroyed the railway and actively resisted Japan. 1948165438+1October, the People's Liberation Army occupied Baoding Railway Station and the ground of the railway station was overhauled 1975. Other old photos are especially precious. According to the data, after the signing of the xin Chou Treaty, Cixi, who fled to Xi 'an, returned to Beijing with Guangxu. When she arrived in Zhengding, she got on the train and was greeted by the governor of Zhili. Because Baoding Station was an accommodation station at that time, Cixi returned to Beijing after staying in Baoding. This is the first time for Cixi to take a train. Cixi was greeted by a specially prepared special train, on which dragons and phoenixes were carved according to the meaning of "auspiciousness" and "wishful thinking". The lining of the carriage was replaced by yellow silk, and all the original seats in the chartered car were removed and fitted with the same throne as the palace. In addition, the Museum of History of Baoding Railway Station also collected relevant materials from 1937 to the end of 2004, including the stationmaster, party secretary, trade union chairman and secretary of the Youth League Committee of Baoding Railway Station. Gao Qiang, director of passenger transportation at Baoding Railway Station, said that the construction of the Railway Station History Museum began in 2002 and was completed in June 2006. Among them, the old photos were enlarged by copying the real photos, and the original pictures are still preserved in the Beijing Railway Museum. Through these historical photos, we can see the changes in the name, architectural style and staff clothing of Baoding Railway Station. The history of the railway station can also be said to be the epitome of Baoding's social and economic development. Cixi revealed that after the opening of Baoding new station, the old railway station will be retired next year, a brand-new station building will be built on the original site, and the station history museum will also be relocated. As the specific location of the station history museum has not yet been planned, these precious historical photos will be temporarily collected. In recent years, with the development of railway passenger transport, the existing construction scale and basic service facilities of Baoding Railway Station can no longer meet the needs of passenger flow growth. In 2009, the Baoding Municipal Government reached an agreement with the Ministry of Railways to start the reconstruction and expansion project of the railway station, and named the new station "The Gate of Beijing and Hebei".
