After the founding of New China, the affiliation of Pingchang County has changed as follows:

1February, 950, Pingchang County belongs to Daxian District in northern Sichuan.

1September, 953, Pingchang County belongs to Daxian County, Sichuan Province.

1993 to 10, Pingchang County belongs to Bazhong area of Sichuan Province.

On June 14, 2000, Bazhong area was abolished and Bazhong City was established. Pingchang County was subordinate to Bazhong City, Sichuan Province.

Remarks:

Bazhong City, Sichuan Province has two districts and three counties 1 Economic Development Zone under construction.

2 districts: Bazhou District and Enyang District.

3 counties: Tongjiang County, Nanjiang County and Pingchang County.
