Steve francis (1977 February 2 1-) was born in Tacoma Park, Maryland, USA. He is an American professional basketball player and serves as a point guard. In the NBA draft of 1999, he was selected by Vancouver Grizzlies (later renamed Memphis Grizzlies) with the second overall pick in the first round, and was traded to Houston Rockets before the 1999-2000 season.
