Engine cylinder loss and fire are the same meaning, but they are called differently. Cylinder missing and misfire both refer to one or more cylinders in a multi-cylinder engine not working or not working normally. After cylinder fire, the engine will shake seriously, resulting in insufficient power, weak acceleration and increased fuel consumption. If multiple cylinders are misfiring, the engine may not start.
It should be noted that some cars will still inject fuel from the fuel injector under the condition of lack of cylinder, so that unburned gasoline mixture will enter the exhaust pipe and continue to burn where the three-way catalyst is located, resulting in the high temperature of the three-way catalyst and its scrapping.
The causes of engine misfire can be divided into two categories.
Electronic control system failure, such as sensor signal loss or inaccurate signal, control signal error or no signal output, ignition failure caused by spark plug or ignition coil damage, oil nozzle non-injection and line failure.
Mechanical failure, mainly due to insufficient cylinder pressure, such as lax valve closure, air leakage, excessive clearance between cylinder, piston and piston ring, resulting in insufficient compression ratio in cylinder, etc.
Engine cylinder-free operation will bring great harm: the speed and power of the engine will decrease. Increase fuel consumption and discharge pollution. Intensify the wear of running parts and shorten the service life of lubricating oil. The engine needs to be repaired in time when it comes out of the cylinder.
Solutions to engine cylinder shortage;
1. Circuit fault: the spark plug, cylinder wire and ignition coil are damaged, which is prone to cylinder missing. Damaged fire engines can be used to judge which cylinder fittings are damaged and replace the damaged fittings;
2. Oil path: If the oil path is not cleaned for a long time, there will be gum in the oil path, too many magazines and the nozzle will be blocked. Fuel additives containing PNF stock solution can be used for cleaning and maintenance, resulting in short circuit or open circuit of the nozzle line. Oil cut-off test is used to detect the fault point and carry out maintenance;
3. Mechanical failure: internal piston, connecting rod, piston ring, piston pin, etc. Engine failure, usually accompanied by obvious abnormal noise. It can be seen that there are obvious metal chips when testing the oil. It is generally necessary to disassemble the engine to deal with this situation.
