It is said that the old woman has tasted marijuana cakes, but she is worried about her son, so she specially saved some marijuana cakes in the jar: first, so that her son can taste marijuana cakes when he comes back, and second, to tell him that his daughter-in-law is very kind to him when he is away.
After some tossing, the nomads from the army was finally defeated by Yue Jiajun. One day, Liu Qi, the general of Yue Jiajun, led his troops through Mrs. Weng's house. "Hefei sesame cake" is also called "Cai Guogong cake", but even the old Hefei people are not familiar with this name.
This was more than 600 years ago in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, when Zhu Yuanzhang rebelled against the Yuan Dynasty, Zhang Desheng, a native of Hefei, recruited the children of his village to form sailors and defected to Zhu. Zhang later died in battle, and was posthumously named Cai Guogong by Zhu Yuanzhang (Biography of Ming History). Therefore, Hefei hemp cake was once honored as Cai Guogong cake.
Hefei hemp cake had a title in its early years, which was listed as the top grade and became the first of the four famous points in Hefei, and it has been passed down to this day. During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, Dongshan Liu, a senior official in Li Hongzhang's government, opened a shop in Houjie, Hefei, which is now Anqing Road, specializing in making sesame cakes. Incremental increase, pay attention to color, fragrance and shape, the epidermis is full of sesame seeds, and the thickness is uniform. Made of rock sugar, sweet-scented osmanthus, green shredded pork and sesame oil, it is well received by customers and has gained great reputation. In those days, Huaijun veterans of Feixi nationality gathered in tianjin railway station, and also brought the production of hemp cakes there. When Li Hongzhang, then governor of Zhili, knew about it, Dongshan Liu took the opportunity to put a packet of improved sesame cakes, labeled them with gold, and gave them to Li Hongzhang in 800 tubes. After Li Hongzhang tasted it, he thought that "the flavor is excellent, comparable to Suzhou's famous point." It was distributed to ministers and governors, and Liu's sesame cakes became famous all over the country.
Since then, there are four famous stores in Hefei, such as the century-old store in Zhang Shunxing and food factories such as Yongkang and Haohua, which produce Hefei sesame cakes and enjoy a high reputation for their sweet taste.
