According to historical records, Nanchang was called "Nanchang" six times in history. In the fifth year of Gaohan (the first 202 years), Nanchang County was established. During the reign of Tang Tianbao, Nanchang Army was established. In the first year of Tang Baoying, Nanchang County was established again. In the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, Hongzhou was promoted to "Nanchang House". In the early Ming Dynasty, Hongdu House was changed to Nanchang House. 1926, Nanchang was captured by the Northern Expeditionary Army and officially designated as "Nanchang City".
