Nanjing Confucius Temple is a temple dedicated to Confucius, a famous thinker and educator in ancient China. Its full name is "Wenxuan King Temple, Dacheng Sage", referred to as "Confucian Temple". Confucius has been honored as "Confucius" since ancient times, so his temple is commonly known as "Confucius Temple".

Nanjing Confucius Temple was built in the first year of Song Jingyu (A.D. 1034) and was expanded from the Eastern Jin Academy. This group of large-scale ancient buildings has experienced vicissitudes and been abandoned several times. After being rebuilt in the eighth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1869), it was burned by the Japanese invaders in 1937, which was seriously damaged. 1984 the municipal and district people's governments have allocated special funds for the protection of the cultural heritage of the ancient capital after scientific argumentation and planning by relevant experts and after several years of careful maintenance and reconstruction. Today's Confucius Temple is brand-new and brilliant again. Known as the Qinhuai Scenic Belt, it has become a characteristic scenic spot in the ancient city of Nanjing and a famous tourist attraction at home and abroad. 199 1 was rated as one of the "Top 40 Tourist Attractions in China" by the state.

Confucius Temple is a temple dedicated to Confucius, also called Wenxuan King Temple, or Confucius Temple for short. As a scene of Qinhuai, the ancient city of Jinling, it has become a famous tourist attraction at home and abroad. Confucius Temple was built in the first year of Song Jingyao (A.D. 1034). It has gone through many vicissitudes and been abandoned several times.
