What does alevel mean?
Alevel means English general secondary education certificate examination level course.

Alevel is a national curriculum system in Britain, similar to our senior high school curriculum in China. However, it only takes two years to complete alevel in Britain, and it may take shorter time for students with strong abilities. Alevel has a history of nearly a hundred years in Britain, and it is also a compulsory course for British students to enter universities.

Alevel is recognized by many universities in the world for its scientific education system, rigorous evaluation standards and first-class teaching quality. Alevel has more than 70 subjects for students to choose from, including English, literature, mathematics, physics, history, geography, art and so on.

Among these many subjects, students only need to choose three or four courses according to their hobbies or outstanding places. Alevel courses have different academic systems. The first year is called AS level. You study three or four courses and then pass the exam to get a certificate.

The second year is called grade A2. Students can choose three excellent courses in AS level to continue their studies, and then pass the exam to obtain alevel certificate. After the A2 exam, their test scores will also determine their final alevel scores. If you want to go abroad smoothly, besides taking IELTS, TOEFL and other language tests, alevel course is also an effective way.
