Lingguang Temple is the most important existing temple in Badachu. Built in the first year of the Tang Dynasty (766-779), it was originally named "Longquan Temple". In Jin Shizong (1 162), it was renamed "Jueshan Temple" and rebuilt in Xuande (1428). The mountain gate hall of Lingguang Temple faces the southeast, and a bronze statue of Sakyamuni Buddha is enshrined in the mountain gate hall, weighing 3300 kilograms. A gift for the monk king of Thailand. There used to be five temples in Lingguang Temple, but now there are only three courtyards, namely "Compassion Courtyard", "Fish Pond Courtyard" and "Tower Courtyard". In the Great Compassion Hall, there is Guanyin Hall in the south, Buddha worship hall in the north, and 14 rooms in the east and west. There is a goldfish pond in the southwest of the hospital, which was built during the reign of Qing Qianlong and expanded during the reign of Xianfeng. It used to be a release pond in the temple. There is a Liao Dynasty tower in Chi Pan, which is called "Zhao Xian Tower", also known as "Thousand Buddha Pagodas".

This tower was destroyed by the Eight-Nation Alliance fire in 1900. Monks in Housi discovered the stone letter of Sakyamuni Buddha's tooth relic when cleaning the foundation of the old tower. A cloister in the northbound direction is the original Woxuan, lay house and abbot house. At present, there are 1958- 1964 Buddha tooth stupas in the abbot's courtyard, which are 5 1 m high and divided into 7 floors. Seven pure gold pagodas are dedicated to a tooth of Buddha Sakyamuni in the pagodas on the second floor (according to records, a monk in the Southern Dynasties once asked for a gift from the Dharma to the west, and in the early days, he was dedicated to Jiankang, the capital of Nanqi, and in Daxing, which is Xi 'an today, and in the late Tang Dynasty, he was sent to Nanjing, Liaoning, which is Beijing today, and in the Liao Daozong period, he was also dedicated to the tower of Zhao Xian). In 2000, the Chinese Buddhist Association built the Jade Buddha Hall and the screen wall of Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra written by the late Buddhist Association President Zhao Puchu. Because there are only two Buddhist tooth relics in the world, Lingguang Temple has become a place where Buddhist monks all over the world worship.

Zhao Xian Tower and the Legend of Flower Monk

Legend has it that there once lived an abbot in Lingguang Temple. After taking over the position of the old abbot, he felt that he had practiced almost enough and gradually became lazy. First, he goes out to enjoy chicken, duck, fish and delicious food. Sometimes he takes wine and meat back to the temple. Finally began to flirt with women and became a real flower monk. The shameless behavior of the abbot aroused the anger of a fat monk and triggered a contest between good and evil.

The fat monk meditated at the mountain gate for three days in order to force the abbot to submit. The abbot knew that he was no match and dared not stay any longer. After he left the temple, he trotted all the way, and without much effort, he was almost at the top of Pingpo Mountain. Fat monks are not idlers. He immediately caught up with the dean and soon found him. So he took thirteen precious whips from his waist and rushed to the top of Pingpo, shouting, "Look at that!" " I saw the treasure whip extending forward one by one, getting longer and longer, only to hear a loud noise, landslides and rocks flying around, and the abbot had long since disappeared. On the top of Pingpo Mountain, black gas is rolling, and it will last for a long time, which is eerie. The fat monk knew at a glance that the evil abbot's body was dead, that evil spirits were still there, and that ghosts were wandering. So he turned back to the temple, took a small box out of his arms and handed it to the abbot, saying, "This is a treasure, which can avoid disaster. If there is a disaster in the future, you can put it in a flat place, burn three incense sticks and shout' God Whip Pacific' three times, and I will come. " Say that finish floating away.

The evil abbot's demon soul floated for 998 1 day, attached to his rotting bones and practiced again, turning white. Did something bad again. The young women in Lingguang Temple are either dead or missing. The government and the monks in the temple looked everywhere, but there was no trace, and no one could do anything.

One day, the young monk suddenly remembered the little treasure box left by the fat monk. He told the abbot it was a good idea. That night, it was so dark that I couldn't see my fingers. At noon, the abbot led the monks to the courtyard, put the small box on the flat ground next to the goldfish pond, and lit three pillars of incense. When it was almost finished, the monks shouted three times in a row: "God whip Taibao!" " Suddenly, thousands of rays of sunshine were released from the eastern sky, which made the earth shine. Then, a thunderbolt exploded, and the monks looked up and saw a fat monk standing in the air, stepping on Xiangyun and holding a treasure whip. I saw the treasure whip in the fat monk's hand raised, and suddenly the rock rolled, and a black gas jumped out of the rock and rushed at the fat monk. The fat monk shook the treasure whip again and caught the black gas. There was a loud roar and the black gas was everywhere. Look at that mountain again, the gloomy strange rocks are gone, the mountains are covered with green grass and trees, leaving only a stubborn stone that is not very beautiful, and it looks cold from a distance.

In addition, the monk surrendered to Bai and came to the monk, which explained the whole story. The abbot asked, "What should we do if this happens again?" The fat monk replied, "Don't worry. Leave this whip in the temple and you can stop evil spirits. " Say that finish, he threw the treasure whip into the air, and the treasure whip roared and rotated, emitting thousands of golden lights. Thirteen treasure whips are transformed into thirteen-story pagodas, and the small box slowly rotates on the ground to emit seven colors of light, which is transformed into a tower foundation. The tower landed squarely on the tower foundation, and in an instant, Xiangyun hung around the pagoda and the fairy music fluttered. Since then, people have called this tower the tower for attracting talents. It is said that as long as the tower of attracting sages does not fall, heresy can no longer rise.

After the founding of New China, the Chinese Buddhist Association, with the support of the state, specially built the Buddha's Tooth Pagoda in the north courtyard of Lingguang Temple. The new tower is 5 1 m high, 13-story octagonal eaves, and the Buddha's teeth are enshrined in the Qibao Golden Pagoda in the main hall of the tower. 1On June 25th, 964, the Chinese Buddhist Association held a grand opening ceremony of the Buddha tooth stupa in Lingguang Temple.

Buddha's tooth relic is a sacred object of Buddhism and a precious cultural relic in China. Many foreign heads of state, especially the leaders of Southeast Asian countries, often come here to worship the Buddha tooth relic.

There are two couplets in front of the tower. One said, "All sentient beings in the Nine Realms are separated from the pure land of eternal life and cannot enter the world of Buddhism and Taoism; Ten Buddhist temples all recite Buddha, but they can't be enlightened. " One said, "Dharma is always there, and it will last forever; The relics must be true, and the sacred objects will remain forever. " Dabei Temple is located on the hillside between Sanshan Temple and Longquan Temple. According to legend, it was built in the Northern Song Dynasty or Liao and Jin Dynasties (about 1033), formerly known as "Yin Ji Temple". The temple faces west.

To the east, there are two ancient catalpa trees facing the mountain gate. The whole courtyard has three entrances and four exits, and the mountain gate hall has a stone forehead, which is the imperial pen of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. There are statues of four great kings in the hall of the mountain gate. Behind the mountain gate is the Hall of Ursa Major. There are two pools of ancient bamboo in Ming Dynasty in front of the temple, which are lush. In the center of the hall is the third Buddha statue, and the "Eighteen Arhats" statues on both sides are said to be the masterpieces of Liu Yuan, a famous sculptor in Yuan Dynasty. Statues have different shapes, profound meanings and lifelike. Its statues are all carved with sandalwood powder and fine sand as tires, and there is still a fragrance around the beam. Behind the Hall of Ursa Major, there is a colorful statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva in Tong Yuan. There are two towering ancient ginkgo trees in front of this temple, which are thick and leafy for several times and have been 800 years old. Xiang Jie Temple, located in Pingpo Mountain, is the largest of the eight temples at present. It was built in the first year of the early Tang Dynasty (758-760) and named "Pingpo Academy". It was called "Dayuantong Temple" in the Ming Dynasty, "Shenggan Temple" in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, and it was renamed in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Xiang Jie Temple, facing south, is a magnificent place for emperors to visit mountains. The temple is divided into three roads: left, middle and right, and * * * enters the hospital. In the middle of the road, there is a stone hanging above the hall, engraved with "Building Xiang Jie Temple". Gu Song runs around the courtyard, bared his teeth, so it is called "Longsong". In addition, the second floor of the bell and drum is divided into two floors. Then there is Tianwang Temple, which is three rooms wide and contains four heavenly kings, namely the Buddhist monk Chebi (a potbellied Maitreya Buddha) and Wei Tuo. Upstairs, there are five halls called Yuanxiong Hall, in front of which there are two stone tablets. Among them, the left tablet is engraved with the "Autobiography of the Great Compassion Bodhisattva", which is said to be an ancient tablet of the Tang Dynasty unearthed when the temple was rebuilt during the Kangxi period. The tablet is engraved with the word "respecting Buddha", which is as big as a flood bucket and is Kangxi's imperial pen. The pattern of Jin Si Courtyard is similar to that of Sanjin Courtyard, and the main hall is the Ursa Major Hall, which is for the Buddha III and the eighteen arhats. Wujin Courtyard is a Buddhist building. On the left is a yard with only three exquisite houses. On the right is the Palace, the Summer Palace of Emperor Qianlong. The built-in scenery in the yard is quite good.

Legend of worshipping Buddha tablet

One morning, Emperor Kangxi was walking in the yard. He moved along the jumping figure of Du Fu, and suddenly his feet softened and he knelt down. Kangxi felt that his knee was very painful, and the yard was full of ground, so it wouldn't hurt so much, so he ordered someone to dig and see what was buried underground. Four or five waiters quickly found tools to dig. At first, the followers found nothing, but they dug and dug and suddenly dug up a stone tablet. This monument is carved with "Autobiography of the Great Compassion Bodhisattva", which is carved with a mixed knife method of relief and line carving and has a unique style. Emperor Kangxi was very happy when he saw it. He ordered eunuchs to prepare pen and ink, splash ink, write down two powerful characters "Buddha" on the tablet, and ordered people to stand in front of the temple. According to the research of relevant experts, it is confirmed that this monument is a treasure left over from the Tang Dynasty. Visitors to Badachu can't help asking about the origin of this monument when they see it, so the legend of this monument has spread. On the way to Xiang Jie Temple, there is a glacier boulder, which was formed1-2 million years ago. 1962, geologist Li Siguang discovered this glacier boulder, identified it as a Quaternary glacier boulder, inscribed it as a souvenir, and built a pavilion for protection in 1964.
