1964, in order to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the National Day/kloc-0, with the direct support of relevant central leaders, 3,500 musicians, dancers and members of Beijing Amateur Choir from more than 70 literary and art units in Beijing and Shanghai collectively created and staged an unprecedented music and dance epic, Dongfanghong. This is a grand and large-scale song and dance music that combines singing, dancing and drama, and fully reflects the history of China's democratic revolutionary struggle in the past century.
