According to legend, at the end of Jin Dynasty, Shi Jingtang cut sixteen states of Youyun to bribe Qidan, and this mountain became the land of Liao State. The gods could not bear to defile the Lingshan of the Buddhist temple and protect the Buddha with their white forehead. Since then, tigers have been entrenched, and this mountain is called Tiger Lying Mountain. In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, a monk named Deyu came here and decided to build Xizi. He went to the boulder where the tiger lived and said to the tiger, "I am here today to create welfare for the Buddha's mission." You are a spirit beast. If you leave here, I will split the mountain and cast a Zhuo Xi here. " After the speech, the tiger did not move. Deyu said, if you don't leave, eat me. After taking a few steps forward, the tiger still ignored me. Deyu turned and walked to the mountain stream. After bathing all over, she came to the tiger lying on the stone and said to the tiger, "My body has been washed, and now I can eat.". If I don't eat, I'll leave. " Then the tiger wagged its tail and took it away from the mountain. So Deyu revived the mountain gate, updated the temple and renamed it "Tiger Lying Temple".
