Fund net value is divided into unit net value and accumulated net value.
The net unit value is the price of the unit share of the fund. The calculation method of unit net worth is to add up the values of stocks, bonds or other securities (including cash) in the portfolio, deduct relevant expenses, and divide the balance by the total share. For example, a 500,000-share fund, whose assets include 9 million shares and10 million cash, should have a net asset value of 20 yuan (after deducting relevant expenses).
The cumulative net value is based on the unit net value, plus the historical dividend amount of the fund. Namely: cumulative net value = unit net value, each historical dividend.
Generally speaking, when buying and selling funds, we often pay attention to the net value of the unit; Only when we want to trace the long-term historical performance of the fund will we pay attention to the accumulated net value.
Unless otherwise specified, what we call "net value" refers to "unit net value".
2. How should trading funds view net worth?
An important principle of fund trading is the "unknown price principle". What do you mean? That is, when you purchase/redeem the fund, the actual transaction price is the latest unknown unit net value from your operation time.
For example:
A subscribes to a fund on Monday 13: 00, then he will finally confirm his share according to the net value on Monday night. If the net value on Monday night is 1.000, then he will get 1.000 yuan/share = 1.000 yuan/share.
Two months later, A saw Tuesday 10, and the latest net value of the fund reached 1. 14. A wanted to redeem the fund, so she submitted a redemption application and redeemed all10,000 copies. In the end, the amount he got was based on the net value on Tuesday night. If the net value on Tuesday night is 1. 15, then he will get 1. 15 yuan/x10000 =1.150,000 yuan.
It should be noted that the important time to redeem the fund is 15: 00 on the trading day. Orders placed before trading day 15: 00 are confirmed by the net value of that night, and orders placed after trading day 15: 00 are confirmed by the net value of the next trading day.
